Collecting Militaria from the 20th Century Era

20th century militaria refers to collectibles and artefacts related to military history from the 1900s to the end of the century.

This could include uniforms, helmets, weapons, badges, insignia, medals, documents, and other items used or produced during wars, conflicts, and military operations of the 20th century.

Many objects serve as a reminder or commemoration of a specific war or military conflict and include photographs, posters, letters, diaries, propaganda materials, and other items that were created or used during wartime. Examples of 20th Century Military Conflicts

There were many military conflicts in the 20th century that are of interest to collectors including:

 

World War I (1914-1918):

This was a global war that involved many of the world's great powers, organized into two opposing alliances: the Allies and the Central Powers. World War II (1939-1945):

Gulf War (1990-1991):

Afghanistan War (2001-present):

This is an ongoing conflict in Afghanistan that began after the September 11 attacks on the United States. Collectors may be interested in collecting memorabilia such as U.S. military patches, helmets, and medals from this war.
