This antique gun bayonet came from my grandfather. It was hung on my parents fireplace all of my childhood then took pride of place on my wall for the last 25 years. I have been told that it is bayonet made for the St Etienne Gras Musket 1874-1877 ish and would have had a steel scabbard. The makers mark is shown in one of the photos. It looks fabulous as antique wall decor, man cave or for the war memorabilia collector. It is 65cm long.
