These maps were recovered from a shot down German bomber which crashed in France during WW11. The maps now belong to Ken (one of our members) whose father managed to recover them from the burning plane.

We believe the the raid was on Plymouth targeting the fuel tanks at Coxside and the naval fuel tanks at Yonderberry opposite the naval base .

There is another target marked which we believe was Chrownhill garrison.

The service man who recovered the maps was serving in France with the REME and died in 2002.

Ken is keen to hear from experts in this field and is seeking a valuation – or any other information.

Please add your comments and we will connect you with Ken.
