This Birmingham Loyal Association Georgian Officer's Shoulder Belt Plate is extremely rare, only worn between 1798-1801. Being an Oval Plate with Georgian Crown and the letters BLA engraved on the plate, hook and stud fastenings to the rear (2 companies of Cavalry and 1 company of Infantry Militia, each 500 men strong) under the command of Captain Pearson and Lord Willoughby de Broke (Earl of Warwick). They held their first parade on Coleshill Street on 15 August 1797. Sold with a picture of three examples of the men in uniform. This is in excellent condition.
