Original liner in very good shape, though a replacement helmet cord. Menpo is a very decent example of an agressive face style ressei men. All lacquer and lacing original and non-restored. Only restoration appears to ahve been to the facing materials of the extremity armour items (sangu) with the fabric having been professionally changed at some point on the kote sleeves, haidate thigh protector and suneate shin guards. The gessan pendants are made of nerigawa or rawhide as was common. The lacquer has chipped and flacked off on some of the individual lames of these, which has caused a couple of them to warp as can only be expected with items of this age. Comes with a period hitsu armoru storage case, which has areas of insect damge to the lid, though the case remains solid. Feel free to ask questions. Everything on this armour is original other than for the helmet crest which is clearly modern, though overall historically correct in overall apperance. The picture should speak for themselves to anyone familiar with these items. A very decent authentic armour at a fair price.
