Sub Lieutenant 1st West India Regiment 25th May 1874 - Lieutenant West India Regt 23th May 1875 - Captain West India Regt 20th March 1882 - Fort Adjutant Cape Coast Castle 6th Nov 1880 - 30th May 1882 - Captain Devonshire Regiment 9th May 1883 - Major Devonshire Regiment 9th November 1892 - Retired 1902.
